About Furrowgear
Furrowgear helps people with a smallholding, a few paddocks or a woodland plot choose and run the right machinery. That means compact tractors and implements, rotavators and tillers, log splitters, wood chippers, brushcutters, toppers, quads and UTVs, trailers and fencing kit. We cover holdings of roughly 1 to 50 acres, not commercial farm fleets.
How we work
- Every calculator shows its formula and the figures it starts from, and you can change any of them.
- Machine specs (horsepower, PTO power, linkage category, lift, weight, tonnage, payload) come only from the maker's UK spec page or manual, with the date we checked it.
- Safety guidance comes from HSE, and road, licence and towing rules come from GOV.UK, DVLA, DVSA and the Highway Code. A figure without a source isn't shown.
- Prices come from you, or from official retailer feeds with the date checked.
- We haven't tested these machines: we compare published specs and official guidance.
- We don't give finance, leasing or insurance advice. For insurance, ask your insurer.
